Cypher Medical has created a novel, game-changing technology for visualizing red blood cell sedimentation. Our technology, when added to a waste container, automatically separates red blood cells from other fluids, making it the quickest, easiest way to identify red blood cell sedimentation in a container during surgery or childbirth. This unique technology can be applied to virtually any product that collects biological fluid.
Cypher Medical is based in Texas and supported by major investments. It has contracted with an internationally recognized tech-development organization in its product development. Our patented technology has been soundly vetted and is protected by proprietary national and international rights.
Meet the team

Chris started his career working in the medical device start up world. There, he quickly had a lot of success selling products in the OR setting. Being promoted after 3 years as a top performing territory manager to a leadership role as a Regional Manager in a fast growing start up spine division in 2004. A year later, Chris was promoted to a leadership position as a Field Marketing Manager. Over the next 12 years, Chris would specialize in medical device startup company development. Chris has held leadership positions from District Manager, Field Marketing Manager, Regional Manager, Director of Sales and Founder and CEO of Cypher Medical, LLC.
Chris is a native of San Antonio, TX, and received his Bachelor's of Science Degree from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.

David Handley has more than 20 years of executive leadership in hospital administration, including the past 10 years as a hospital CEO as an employee of the world’s largest hospital corporation. During his hospital administration career, the facilities under his leadership all enjoyed significant improvements in patient quality of care metrics and hospital financial results by forming strategic partnerships to increase revenue while concurrently maintaining an intense focus on hospital expense management. David is a team player as evidenced by repeated top quartile achievement scores in patient, employee, and physician satisfaction reviews.
Raised outside of Chicago, David received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Illinois and his Master of Health Administration Degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
